When the positioner has no fault locking function, if the on-site process wants to realize the valve position preservation under the conditions of power failure, gas stop and signal cut-off, it must be externally connected with the power-off comparator, solenoid valve and air lock valve. At present, Fisher, azbil, Siemens and other locators adopt this method.

Torleo intelligent valve positioner, with advanced i/p air circuit design and built-in fault locking function, does not need an external power-off comparator and solenoid valve. It can easily realize the three break protection of the valve by connecting an external air lock valve, which not only saves the investment of users, but also improves the reliability of the system. In particular, for general cylinders, the pneumatic amplifier can be cancelled.
